How everything began
Tenikle started with a broken phone and an idea. On a simple hike, Hans watched his phone tumble from a tree branch, cracking the screen right before his eyes. That moment of frustration inspired Hans to invent a single mount that didn’t just work in the car, but everywhere—a flexible, octopus-inspired solution for creators, adventurers, and everyone tired of juggling tripods and tech.
From dozens of prototypes built in his garage, Tenikle was born. Its bendable arms and powerful suction cups changed the way people capture life’s moments. Launched on Kickstarter, Tenikle smashed its goal and quickly became a top 1% campaign, with over 12,000 early users sharing feedback that pushed the product further.
But the journey wasn’t all smooth seas: Covid supply issues, financial challenges, and even nine months living in an RV with his wife Lydia tested Hans’s resolve. In 2021, he walked onto Shark Tank with just $39 left in his account, but his passion and perseverance led to a game-changing partnership with Daymond John of FUBU fame.
Since then, Tenikle has grown into a multi-million dollar brand loved by creators worldwide. Every new product—like the Tenikle PRO—reflects our customer community’s feedback and Tenikle’s mission: to make life more flexible, creative, and hands-free.
